polarized double

HERE'S  a  deliberately simple design I done just recently for a junior kids' club. MY OWN TASTE in cartooning for myself is for the agressive and absurd [I have been described as being an 'absurdist' in taste and humor, which I will not argue with] : however for paid comissions, the artist has to rein in these instincts in many cases, and give the paying customer exactly what they want [sometimes this is great fun, sometimes not, for all sorts of reasons] ------ Anyhoo, THIS assignment was nice and easy and the original rough was approved instantly, always a good sign. Deliberalely simple for T-shirts and Logos, I have drawn sharks a few times------ they are top fantasy subjects I embrace with much relish. RAB L RAUSER

I AM WELL AWARE MY VISITS to my own site are becoming less frequent this year: no, the reason is not I have succumbed to the Horrors of taking up a dead-end job: --quite the reverse: I have been so quiet for the happy reason I am very busy working on paid cartoons which leaves me no real time to commit to POLARIZED OPINIONS- styled tomfoolery. No matter, come time these polished works will be revealed for all they are worth on here: ------in the meantime I am aiming to keep the site going , even if it is only brand-new roughs on display on occassion. This sketch took a few minutes but it is VERY recent, just knocked out by me yesterday. MOST OF THE PAID work I get these days originates from overseas; I am even entering into negotiations with a Saudi Arabian customer, which should prove very interesting. HOWEVER!  ---Now and again, local businesses here in the UK get in touch with me regarding customized advertising works and soforth, which I am always happy to take on.  This one below was the happy result of meeting a local businesswoman casually, and the artwork is in the process of being blown up for adorning a local food merchants' premises. Photos will be added when I get to see the finished result... My cartoon taste is for the slightly agressive and surreal, but here we see proof I can in fact turn my hand to very commercial-looking imagery: Enjoi! RAB     L.   RAUSER 

MUCHOS APPY POLLY-LOGIES for the recent larger timespans between adding new imagery, my lovelies: ---Real-Life stuff has been getting in the way of late: I have many other interests in life than just drawing silly cartoons, and that is exactly as it SHOULD BE, I reckons ....... There is a huge backlog of material for me to be getting through, and much of this stuff is yonks old. It will be brand-new to YOU of course, and that is all that matters... These are composites to be added into yet-to-finished strips, of course, and more of these are winging their Merry Way to you. This is the first image of the darling VERONICA to make it into these modernly-minted strips. She can be fairly tricky to draw facially, hence the unused sketch I left in: it was OK but not quite what I was looking for. Enjoi! RAB L. RAUSER
