Cops 'n' Robbers 3: Masked Mystery Bandit
Tongue-in-cheek humor comes to the fore in this scenario, as not only is the suspect clearly the Statue of Liberty wearing a scowl and archaic mask, the fact that she is accurately described on her WANTED poster as being 'one hundred and fifty one feet tall, less plinth surely must narrow down the odds of identifying this renegade criminal.
For pedants of fact-finding trivia, [and they are a-plenty on the web] you can rest assured that your dedicated author and cartoonist has taken the time to check out the actual height of the 'real' Statue of Liberty, in order to ground this gag properly into 'reality'.
-----Yes, I thought the real Statue of Libety was a lot taller than 151 feet, also.....
Baby Boomer seen on the 'NYPD potty/Gazunder' here may have been slightly distasteful, but what the Hell.....it's MY strip/characters!
Another new one...yippee!!
ReplyDeleteLike the reverse gag of the statue of Liberty..
I once did a simple computer animation story of the Stature of Liberty at my degree in Graphics Design at Epsom ...her spikes on her head looked like a Jaws fin has she came out of the sea then walking around and creating pot holes in New York roads..then using her torch like a lazor it sliced two building in half to create twin towers!!..I've been to New York and been at the top of twin towers in 1992...it had an amazing view..
so you're not the only one to use the Statue of Liberty..
its fun using our imagination..
Great stories, there, Peter! It must have made a big impact on you, seeing what happened there 9 years after you visited there...I aim to visit the US at some point, though I have been in Latin America.
ReplyDeleteYour comic stories sound very imaginitive...it's mostly all-new cartoons on this site from here on: there's a lot of new stuff already started, with colour work coming up as well if all goes to plan.
